This piece was created from my visit to the Tundra at a Lodge called Peterson Point Lake Lodge one and a half hours northeast of Yellowknife by Float plane. A technique called poring on stretched canvas was used to create very bright glazes. The Tundra colours are astounding in their oranges, yellows and reds. This brilliance only lasts for a short window of time and I think I have caught this marvellous event in this painting.
