Summer Bouquet
This watercolour was painted from one of my photos. These fuscia wild fireweeds grow along walking paths and close to shorelines and roads all through our short summer season. When I first moved North I was told that once the fireweed stops blooming it signals summer is over and winter is coming. I tried to capture their spectacular beauty mid summer in this painting as well as the yarrow creating a summer bouquet .
